Giving to the Department of English, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics

The Department of English, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics prides itself on its support of student research and scholarship and the excellent teaching and scholarship of our faculty. The Acacia Group, our graduate student organization, sponsors an annual graduate student conference at which graduate students from CSUF and from universities across the country present their work in a professional conference atmosphere. We are especially proud to have our faculty be invited to serve as panel chairs and to speak at the conference. We also support our students by awarding a number of scholarships each year, scholarships that have been funded by generous individuals either to support excellent scholarship or to help students in need. Our scholarships support our students; the general funds provide opportunities for our faculty to share their research at conferences around the world. Unfortunately, these funds always need money. Listed below are the scholarships and funds that the Department of English, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics supports.
